purpose of this website

This site was developed as a study guide so students of River Valley Tae Kwon Do could prepare for a field trip to the Smith College Museum of Art. It is being maintained for the foreseeable future as a resource for anyone interested in learning more about the handscrolls.

The museum visit will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 6:30 pm. Because of space limitations, attendance will be limited to current and former students of River Valley Tae Kwon Do and a limited number of their families and friends.

This is the first of a series of visits to area museums and cultural venues. River Valley Tae Kwon Do strives to provide meaningful cultural and spiritual content to supplement students’ day-to-day physical training in the dojang.
